We’re Hiring: Full-Time Vending Machine Route Operator
We’re looking for a reliable, conscientious and hardworking Vending Machine Route Operator to join the H2O Vend team.

Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday
Salary: Dependent on experience

H2O Vend is a family-run vending and refreshment company serving businesses across East Anglia. We’re looking for a new full-time Route Operator to join our team, looking after customers on an established vending route.
This is a varied, hands-on and customer-facing position. You’ll be responsible for keeping our customers’ vending, coffee and refreshment equipment fully stocked, spotlessly clean and professionally presented.
This is not a delivery driver position
We want to make this clear from the outset.
Although you’ll drive a company van between customer sites, driving is only one part of the job. This isn’t a parcel, courier or multi-drop delivery position.
At each customer site, you’ll assess what the machines need, replenish them correctly, check dates and stock rotation, clean the equipment thoroughly, take accurate readings and make sure everything is left looking its best.
We’re looking for somebody with a keen eye for detail who takes genuine pride in their work. If something doesn’t look right, we expect you to notice it and either deal with it or report it rather than simply moving on to the next site.
What will you be doing?
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Visiting customer sites throughout East Anglia on an established route
Cleaning and replenishing snack, cold drink and coffee machines
Checking stock levels, product dates and correct stock rotation
Taking and accurately recording machine readings and sales figures
Emptying cash boxes where required and completing the relevant records
Checking machines for obvious faults, damage or other issues
Reporting faults and site issues promptly to our office or engineering team
Keeping your company vehicle clean, organised and correctly stocked
Managing your time and workload to complete your scheduled route
Speaking with customers and providing the friendly, professional service expected from everyone representing H2O Vend
Early starts are part of the job
Our operators often need to be at customer sites early in the morning, so you must be comfortable with regular early starts.
The role is based from our depot at Tilney St Lawrence, near King’s Lynn, where you’ll normally load and prepare your vehicle before heading out on your route.
Who are we looking for?
Previous vending experience isn’t essential because full training will be provided. Attitude, reliability and attention to detail are much more important to us.
You’ll need to:
Be reliable, punctual and comfortable with early starts
Have a keen eye for detail
Take pride in leaving machines clean, full and well presented
Be organised and capable of managing an established route independently
Be comfortable working alone for much of the day
Be friendly, polite and confident dealing with customers
Be able to accurately record stock, readings, cash and other figures
Be physically capable of regularly loading, unloading and carrying stock
Use your initiative and notice when something isn’t right
Be comfortable driving a van throughout East Anglia
Hold a full, clean UK driving licence with a minimum of three years’ driving experience
Previous experience in vending, merchandising, retail replenishment, field-based service or a similar role would be useful, but isn’t essential.
